Be Good to Yourself Today
|
Are you good to yourself? I mean truly good to yourself? Do you put yourself
on your daily priority list?
1. Carve out time for you. This time is sacred time that you use
specifically and exclusively for something you truly enjoy doing.
2. Practice self-care. Get dressed in something you feel great wearing.
Brush your hair. Put on your makeup or shave if applicable. Take the time to
moisturize at night. Eat nutritious meals and get enough sleep.
3. Inspire yourself. Each day,
journal three positive self-talk
phrases like, 'I am beautiful.' 'I am enough.' "I am strong.' 'I am
resourceful.'
4. Don't do toxic activities or hang out with toxic people. If you spend
each day doing things you don't enjoy or surrounded by people who bring you
down, that's not a happy path to be on. You deserve joy.
5. Give yourself a pat on the back. It's so easy to say, 'The day is
done and I got nothing done.' Some days are just like that. Don't beat yourself
up. Rather than focusing on what you DID NOT get done, focus on what you DID
get done. You got out of bed. You cooked a meal for your family. You went to
work, or paid a bill, or made an important phone call. Give yourself a pat on
the back. Tomorrow is another day.
