Fabulous Organizing Tips and Thoughts
from GON Readers
Here are a bunch of tips and thoughts from GON Readers to brighten your day...
This helps keep my desk neat and tidy
To help keep my desk neat and tidy, I placed pictures and images under the
clear plastic blotter on my desk. So now, in order to see my favorite pictures,
I have to keep the paper piles off my desk!

I tweaked your sandwiching tasks and rewards suggestion
Dear Maria,
This is in response to your newsletter about sandwiching tasks with rewards.
What a great suggestion. For myself, I have tweaked it a bit. Since almost all
my work requires me to be at my desk, for the last few days I have been using
your suggestion to sandwich my desk work with my much-neglected housework.
So after I have been at my computer for an hour and a half, I set a timer to
take the next half hour to dust, clean a shelf, etc. Of course this probably
suits a retired academic more than other people working from home. Many thanks
for putting the idea in my head.
--Prof. Jayanti Seth (retired), University of Delhi
An interesting way to think about collectibles
Your reader's question regarding collectibles was interesting. I'm not
much of a collector, but I have a friend who is. He once said that the fun of
his collection was in the 'acquiring.' Therefore, when he decided he no longer
had space for his collection, he found someone who would enjoy it and gave it
all away! I thought that was a very interesting way to think about it.

Have you ever found yourself alone, singing a song...maybe out of tune... only
to realize a co-worker or family member listening and making fun of your
ability? Or maybe it was an insensitive joke, like: 'Don't give up your day
job.'
We shrug these things off and pretend they don't bother us, but it hurts and
it ruins our joy of singing.
On the other hand, you may be very excited to know that, within a matter of
weeks, you could...
Be singing so incredibly well, with power and expression...that you'll not only
thoroughly impress your friends and family, but feel amazing about yourself and
your ability as well!
This leads me to something really good that I know you're going to love. If
you've ever wanted to learn how to sing (or to sing better), this singing course
is head and shoulders above the rest...it's called Singorama.
Learn how to:
* Sing with effortless strength
* Increase your vocal range by at least an octave
* Sing with beautiful tone and perfect pitch
* Hit those high notes without any cracks
