Organizing Thought of the Day
|
A Glorious Sight that Enhanced the Start of My Day
|
This morning, I ventured out a bit earlier than I usually do and was greeted by
a huge rising sun that radiated a golden orange before me. It actually reminded
me more of the rich colors of a sunset that I imagined would be ever-present
on The Serengeti. It was a glorious sight that immensely enhanced the start of
my day.
This brings to mind my everyday routine. Breaking my routine this morning and
venturing out only thirty minutes prior to the time I normally would ensured
that I was gifted with this morning's beautiful sun.
Don't get me wrong. I believe wholeheartedly in routines. I live routines and I
teach routines. That being said, every now and then, breaking routines is an
important thing to do.
If you never try something a bit different, you'll never know what you're
missing out on.
A new coat of paint on your office walls, or trading in your old tan file
folders for colorful blue ones, may motivate you to higher levels or
productivity.
Trying your hand at a new sport, like golf, bowling, or bocce ball may open up
new friendships, or strengthen your body, or help with eye-hand coordination
and/or balance.
Joining a new club may spark your interest in a leadership position, or might
give you new business contacts for work.
Rearranging your furniture, re-organizing your linen closet, or changing
whatever system you're currently using to store your books or photos may give
you a whole new sense of serenity.
Of course, changing things up won't always work in your favor, but in many
instances it will. Besides, how would you know if something you're currently
doing can't be done in a way that will make you happier, stronger, more
efficient, easier, etc. if you don't try something new on occasion?
Bottom line, stick with your routines most of the time, but venture outside of
them now and then. Hopefully, that adventure will result in your own personal
sunrise that inspires something new and wonderful in your life.

All people have clutter to some degree. You may have a little. You may have a

For anyone who has clutter, have no doubt in your mind that CLUTTER GROWS. Small
clutter challenges soon turn into large clutter issues.
Plus, clutter is sneaky...it doesn't only show up in the pile of shoes you may
have in your closet, the overload of toys in the toy room, the boxes of stuff in
the basement, or the stuffed-to-the-max drawers and closets in your home.
Clutter can actually invade your life in FOUR forms...
1. Physical Clutter
2. Paper Clutter
3. Digital Clutter
4. Emotional Clutter
Once clutter is here, it begins to wreak all sorts of havoc...
There is only one way to get rid of clutter...and that is by using a proven-
effective clutter-removing system. Only then will you be able to face clutter
head-on and have the clutter-free life you deserve.
