Fabulous Organizing Tips and Thoughts
from GON Readers
Here are a bunch of tips and thoughts from GON Readers to brighten your day...
How I Reuse Empty Tissue Boxes to Stay Organized
I save our empty tissue boxes--boutique or cube style--and reuse them in two
really helpful ways. The first use is storing plastic shopping bags in one of
the tissue boxes to use as wastebasket liners. Each room with a small
wastebasket has its own box of 'trash bags.'
The tissue boxes are available in so many colors and styles that you can
coordinate them with any room. My older son has a SpongeBob tissue box.
The second use is in the laundry room. I empty my lint tray after each use. To
keep the lint confined, I stick it directly into a tissue box.
Old pop-up baby wipe containers can also be used for this.

Before You Declutter Your Closet, Do This...
Take a realistic look at who you are and what you want to look like in that
role before you declutter your closet. Much of our closet reflects who we were
or want to be.
Allow yourself five outfits for what you are most of the time and two outfits
for who you are some of the time.
For example, I run a farm and homeschool my kids MOST the time so my closet
contains MOSTLY comfortable, durable clothes.
I also teach cooking classes so I have two casual outfits and two dressier
outfits for church.

An Easy Way to Keep My Shoes in Order
I enjoy having shoes for every outfit. I mean lots and lots of shoes! Keeping
them organized was always a chore.
I found an easy way to keep them in order. Using a digital camera, I took a
picture of each pair of shoes. I then printed out the pictures, 12 pairs per
page, (on regular paper to save on cost).
I cut out the pictures and attached them each to the end of their shoe box.
Multiple pairs of sandals often fit in the same box, thus saving space.
The pictures allow for organizing by season and color, and make choosing the
right pair of shoes very quick and easy.

All people have clutter to some degree. You may have a little. You may have a
ton. MOST people are somewhere right in the middle.
For anyone who has clutter, have no doubt in your mind that CLUTTER GROWS. Small
clutter challenges soon turn into large clutter issues.
Plus, clutter is sneaky...it doesn't only show up in the pile of shoes you may
have in your closet, the overload of toys in the toy room, the boxes of stuff in
the basement, or the stuffed-to-the-max drawers and closets in your home.
Clutter can actually invade your life in FOUR forms...
1. Physical Clutter
2. Paper Clutter
3. Digital Clutter
4. Emotional Clutter
Once clutter is here, it begins to wreak all sorts of havoc...
There is only one way to get rid of clutter...and that is by using a proven-
effective clutter-removing system. Only then will you be able to face clutter
head-on and have the clutter-free life you deserve.
Want to say goodbye to your clutter? I have just the thing you need for a

___ 2. Stop by my NEW Discussion Forum. If you've been on my newsletter
list for awhile, you may recall a Discussion Forum we used to have years back.
With the advent of social media, we decided to close down that forum. BUT,
we've discovered that MANY of our GON readers miss it so much. So, I have a new
forum now and I hope you visit, register, and join in the discussion. It's a
wonderful place for tips, to list your challenges, and to get motivated.
Visit getorganizednow.boardhost.com
to access my new Discussion Forum.
___ 3. Organize a stack of photos...or some digital ones. By the way,
last month we polled GON readers and asked, 'Which
statement describes you best when it comes to your photos and keeping them
organized?' Visit
GetOrganizedNow.com to
access the results of that poll, along with a bunch of interesting reader
comments.
'It takes but one positive thought when given a chance to survive and thrive
to overpower an entire army of negative thoughts.' (Robert H. Schuller)
I'd love to hear from you.
I LOVE GON reader mail! Whether it's a comments, suggestions, or just a note to
say hello, REPLY to this email with a short note.
And remember...there's no better time to get organized, than to Get Organized
