I love when I see GON reader success stories. This is one that was featured on Facebook.
Feeling Optimistic!
I finally cleared out some drawers. I was hanging onto some bits of clothing that I never wear, socks with holes, stained shirts (I mean, how often do you need clothes to paint in?), and socks that I hate because the elastic is too tight. It's a small start in organizing my space.
A few weeks ago, I used Oxi-Clean to soak some crocheted lace dresser scarves that my grandmother made. These please me to no end, especially that they look new again.
So I threw out a bunch of stuff and made the top of my bureau pretty again. It's a constant effort because of old bad habits, but I'm seeing progress and it feels good!
Lisa Elder
I am so happy for Lisa, and I wanted to reiterate that organizing doesn't have to be a huge project. It can be a smaller, more focused project, like this one that Lisa accomplished.
