3. Store the alternate set of linens in an organized manner. I like to store the set not being used in the bedroom it belongs in. Doing so makes it quick and easy to grab the alternate set and make the bed when the current one is being washed.
The alternate set for the master bed is stored in the master bedroom.
The alternate set for my daughter's bed is stored in her bedroom.
The alternate set for the guest room is stored in the guestroom.
And the alternate set for the sofa bed in the basement is stored in the basement.
If you prefer storing all of your sheets in a linen closet, I would organize those by the size of the bed. So any queen size sheet sets together, any twin size sheet sets together, etc.
By the way, many of my GON readers have also asked if a top sheet is necessary. I emphatically say, "Yes!"
The top sheet creates a barrier between you and your comforter, duvet cover, or blanket, protecting it from skin cells and bacteria. It's much easier to wash a top sheet, than the bulky
comforter!
Hope this helps!
