Since doing this, I have been more positive and productive
In response to your
August 4 newsletter, this is a suggestion to help the lady who just split up with her husband. My husband of ten years recently passed away suddenly and I spent several weeks basically walking in circles, not feeling like doing anything.
I came across a short article suggesting that a daily Gratitude Journal might be helpful to prove that EVERYTHING is not bad. I write down at least 6 different things over the course of each day that I am thankful for.
It can be anything from your life, to having enough food to eat, to the kindness of strangers, and everything in between. Since I started doing this, I have been more productive and positive.
I hope this idea helps someone else.
Thank you for your newsletter. I find something useful in every one.

A Second Life for Shoelaces
I save the shoelaces from shoes I am tossing. I use the shoelaces to tie up my garden plants and also to tie up my quilts which I store for the winter. It keeps them in a nice bundle and then I put them in a plastic bag.

P.S. I have been a subscriber of yours for many, many years. Thanks for the motivation!

Reminders of How Lucky We Are
In response to your August 2 newsletter, I have had a folder in Word called "Reading Lists"
for years. It includes files entitled "Look Up," "eBooks in the Local Library," "Currently Reading," "Christian Fiction," "Other Fiction," "Non-fiction," "Finished" (including my rating), and "Purchased."
Within each file, books are alphabetized by the author's last name. While some may think that there are too many individual lists, it works for me, and that's what is important.
