Question
May I ask how you handle the “sent mail” folder? I think that’s valuable, because it’s a record of important communications that I sometimes must reference because the
original email is sometimes not included in a response.
Thank you so much again for everything!

Response from Maria Gracia
Hi Peggy,
Thank you for asking. Most email I send, once it's sent, doesn't need to be looked at again. So, I'd rather not keep ALL of it.
What I do is, I have a second email folder called "Sent-Reference." If I send something that there is a good chance I'll need to reference, I drag it from "Sent Mail" into that folder.
I delete all the rest of my Sent Mail once a week.
Every month, I peek at my "Sent-Reference" folder and sort it by date. I look at the oldest mail in that folder and determine what can be deleted in there at that time.
I've been successfully using this method for years. Maybe it will help you...or spur a similar idea.
Hope this
helps.
