While I love "shopping" around my home for organizing
tools, sometimes I don't have what I need just hanging around. That's when I shop for a few useful items. I recently purchased these wonderful organizing items for my home.
Wooden
Crates: I wanted a few free-standing organizing boxes or containers for my craft room and I came across these gorgeous rustic wood crates. These come in three different sizes and can be stacked in a very pretty arrangement...perfect for leaving in plain view.
These can be used in so many different
ways, like to hold books, fabric, quilts, to keep items organized on shelves in any room (including the garage), in your bathroom to hold toilet paper and/or towels, or in your pantry to keep categories of items nice and neat...just to name a few ideas.
You may also opt for same-size crates if you're planning
to use many of these in one area and want everything to look consistent.
Hardcover 2023 Planner: While I religiously use my phone to keep track of my appointments and
events, in addition, I like having a hardcover planner sitting on my desk.
It provides me with a constant visual of events coming up (like birthdays, holidays and such), alerts me to
unusual tasks I'd like to do on certain days (my daughter is coming to visit soon...I want to get fresh linens on her bed), and gives me a back-up in case something happens to my phone (I would honestly be lost without my calendar!).
I'm so happy with the 2023 planner I just purchased.
It's so pretty, study (it's hardcover), spiral-bound so it lays flat when open, comes with bookmarks, stickers, and sticky notes to flag certain dates, has a storage pocket, has weekly motivational quotes, and is in both month- and week-at-a-glance formats. I purchased the 5.5" x 8", but it also comes in 8.5" x 11" if you prefer.
Humidifier: A bit part of being organized is being comfortable, and with the cold weather in Wisconsin and the heat running, the air in my home tends to get very dry. I recently ordered a 1 Liter Diffuser/Humidifier and it's truly helping add that needed moisture to the air.
This particular one is so unique. It is wood-grain, so looks a bit more cozy than the typical humidifiers, it constantly changes colors so it's fun to look at (a friend stopped by yesterday and mentioned how much she likes it...I'll be getting her one for Christmas), and you can even add a drop of essential oil in it, for a nose-pleasing scent, if you so choose to do so.
I don't shop often, but this recent online shopping adventure was very satisfying and provided me and my family with some very helpful tools.
