In my September 13 newsletter, I asked GON readers to share what's on your reading list. I received quite a few replies. Unfortunately, we had a technology snafu, which ended up with about 10 of those replies deleted forever...before we had the opportunity to get them into my newsletter.
So, if you previously sent a response to me in relation to my September 13 issue, and your response is not printed below, please go into your "sent mail" folder in your email program and re-send it to me. I'll include those that were lost in another issue. Thank you.
Here are the replies that we were able to recover. I so enjoyed reading each and every one!

Right now I am reading Paper Roses by Karen Ann Hopkins, Short-Straw Bride by Karen Witemeyer, and Reckoning by Catherine
Coulter.

Maria, I'm laughing because I have a stack of books on my nightstand, trying to read too many at once. (Is this an ADHD thing?!)
I'm currently reading Take My Husband by Ellen Meister (a dark comedy), Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. The Groucho Letters (Letters from Groucho Marx), Memoirs of a Mangy Lover by Groucho Marx, The Office BFFs by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, Virginia Lee Burton: A Life in Art by Barbara Elleman, and finally a couple of oldies, Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain and The Stillmeadow Road by Gladys Tabor.
Whew! The problem is, I'm falling asleep after 5 pages which is also why it's taking so long to get through a book. I do like your reading schedule and need to try that so I can actually finish one! Thanks!

I love to read too! I am continually overlapping my books…
I like your twist to your request. You have asked for what we are reading now versus favorite, so I just finished The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles, but immediately started American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner is my bookclub reading.
My nonfiction is Freezing Order the 2nd book by Bill Browder
And yes have to have
popcorn!!
The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand
And for reflection: The Bible
Can’t wait to see the results. I am sure it will add many titles to my to be read list!

Reader Letter #4
Since Covid lockdown began in March 2020, I have read 378 books. Recently read and recommended:
1. Author Julia Barrett
writes "sequels" to Jane Austin's novels. Try Presumption, a sequel to Pride and Prejudice or The Third Sister, a sequel to Sense and Sensibility.
2. The Miss Julia series by Ann B. Ross is a funny and endearing collection of the life of a proper southern lady who
gets into all kinds of trouble.
3. The Inspector Gamache series of mysteries by Louise Penny is excellent. The main character is someone who raises questions about how to live ethically in our world. His choices always make me think.

Here are a few
books I have recently finished and would recommend:
The Scythe by Neal Shusterman (plus sequels Thunderhead and The Toll)
Carnegie's Maid by Heather Terrell
-- Rebecca Sentman

Years ago, I also read two to three books at a time. These days just one.
I'm currently reading Secret Lives of the First Ladies by Cormac O’Brien. I recently finished First One In, Last One Out by Marilyn Shimon and The First Mrs. Rothschild by Sara Aharoni. Next to read are The Matriarch: Barbara
Bush and The Making of an American Dynasty by Susan Page
I now only buy digital books to read on my iPad. Last year, I donated around 100 hard covers to a local community thrift shop. Probably around another 100 in the near future.

I just finished David Sedaris' latest book, Happy-Go-Lucky and it was one of his funniest, yet most heartbreaking, works yet.
