Does running the dishwasher with a rinse aid really work to clean better? Thank you!

Hi Sara,

Personally, I always use a rinse aid in my dishwasher. Where I live, we have hard water, and without the rinse aid, there are going to be spots left behind on anything we wash. Rinse aids also help to keep food from going back on the dishes, prevent etching, and help dishes dry faster.

That all being said, maybe you don't have hard water and perhaps your dishwasher is "doing the job" without a rinse aid.

I started using a rinse aid when I was not happy with how my dishes looked at the end of the dishwasher cycle. The rinse aid corrected those issues for me.

So, the question is, are you happy with the job your dishwasher is doing without using a rinse aid? If so, you probably don't need to use it. If not, you probably do.
