GON Reader Book Recommendation
I just finished (& highly recommend) the
Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch (the first volume is Rivers of London in the U.K., but called Midnight Riot in the
U.S.).
I had a wonderful summer reading the nine main volumes of this series and I’m sad that I finished them, but of course I’m looking forward to when he writes another
book.
This is an urban fantasy series and the author has also written some short stories, novellas, and graphic novels set in the Rivers of London world.

Next Major Goal
Dear Maria,
My next major goal is to finish four seasonal cross-stitch patterns and get them framed in time for entry into next year's County Fair (late September). I have "Fall" already
finished and framed. I'm making good progress on "Winter". I can estimate that this is a doable goal.
I entered something in the last County Fair a couple of months ago and won a blue ribbon! I'm also encouraging my fellow stitchers on Facebook to find out when their County Fair is and make plans
to enter something. Courage to the fore!

Don't leave EVERYTHING for your kids
I want to thank you for your fabulous newsletter. I have been following you for years. I have implemented many of your ideas, but I am a huge work in progress with getting my home to where I would like it.
However, I would like to give a tip that I plan now to make happen. Don’t leave everything for your kids. If you don’t want it, find someone who does.
Don’t keep things thinking, "I might need this one day."
My brother and I are cleaning out our parents home and realizing we need to clean out our own so our children don’t have to deal with our stuff?
