Unique Idea for Clearing Out Clothing
On clearing out clothing, I picked up a rug
loom at a rummage sale and have been using it to repurpose clothing that is stained, worn, or just outgrown (see photo on the left above.)
I use online meeting time to rip it into
strips for making twined rugs. During the last two years, I've made 15 rugs (see photo on the right above) which have gone to my niece for her new home (with chilly wood floors), for a baby shower, donated to a charity auction, and a couple for me.
They're comfy, and keep the chill off during winter. I even made a memory one from my Dad's shirts. I put the strips in a bedding bag with the zip so I can see colors and just pick out what I like for the next color. There's lots of help online.
You could also use the strips for crocheting or knitting a rug. There's so much available from not cleaning out stuff that I think I'll be okay for the next ten years of weaving. And it seems like it's always a perfect gift. Warm, comfy, and washable!

Reducing Warranty Clutter
Hi Maria! Hope this finds you well.
A while ago, I noticed a friend of mine write the "throw out" date on all her warranties. (I have manuals and warranties together
in my filing system). Since then, I’ve done the same thing. Doing so saves heaps of time when cleaning out my files.

Keeping Paper Clutter at
Bay
A few tips I use to keep paper clutter at bay:
1. Rather than putting bills aside and allowing them to collect for 'bill paying day,' when a bill arrives, I pay it that day. In doing so, I deal with it and touch it only once.
2. Rather than collecting papers in a
To Read Basket/Folder, A) depending on the size of the article, I often read it at once and discard it instantly. B) If the article is in a newspaper paper or magazine, I tear it out of the magazine and recycle the unwanted portion immediately.
3. For papers received in
the mail that are to be distributed to other family members, I put it immediately on that person's the desk, in the room of the family member.
