Q: What type of laundry soap do you
use?
-- Alice from Alabama
Maria's Response: Hi Alice, I have sensitive
skin issues so, when it comes to laundry soap, I always use fragrance-free Tide Free and Gentle. I also use dryer balls in the dryer or
Downey fragrance-free dryer sheets when I'm on vacation. Q. What type of dish soap do you use?
-- Jean from Texas
Maria's Response: Jean, I've been using blue Dawn dish soap for years. A tiny squirt fills a sink with soapy water for washing dishes. Plus, it has a ton of other uses like erasing driveway stains, removing grease from tools, and pretreating oily laundry stains, just to name a few.
Q. How can I make weeknight cooking easier?
-- Marianna from New York
Maria's Response: Marianna, Always know what you're making a day or two before and shop for those ingredients. Choose recipes that can be both prepped and cooked within 30 to 40 minutes, and that have no more than 5-7 ingredients. Make use of your air fryer, crock pot, etc.
Q. What is your favorite shampoo and conditioner?
-- Sue from Florida
Maria's Response: Hi Sue, If I want to treat myself, I either buy Pureology or Caviar. Both are quite expensive, but a tiny bit goes a long way and
they're high-quality products that are not damaging.
I always alternate what I use for each hair washing...I use the more expensive brand, then the drugstore brand, back to the more expensive brand, and so on. And I wash my hair every other day; rather than daily.
Q. Is YOUR house always clean and organized?
-- Jake from Tennessee
Maria's Response: Jake, Nobody's house is ALWAYS clean and organized. Clean and Organized are destinations; not final journeys. As areas need organizing and cleaning, I handle these tasks and projects in small bits which helps to keep everything well-maintained.
