What I did with a memory box that was getting too full
I have a memory box that was getting too full. I scanned and saved a lot of it to my computer and now have a "memory stick" thumb drive of what I want to look at.
True, it's not the same as
unfolding a piece of paper or holding those previous memories in my hands.
Psychologically, it will never be the same. However, access for what would have had to be tossed is in there
on that thumb drive. Only the most precious are in physical form now.

The system I use for changing bed linens
I used to change my sheets weekly because that's what my Mom did, but now do it bi-monthly or wait even longer. This is because, one day, I was thinking about the home I grew up in and remembered that the upstairs bathroom had no shower. I used to bathe weekly in the tub and spot wash from
the sink during the week.
Recently my husband started using a new hairdressing and I noticed that his pillowcase was developing a grease stain, so this is what I do.
Day 1, laundry day and new sheets and pillowcases.
Day 2, flip pillows so the bottom side is up and we get a fresh surface.
Day 3, change pillowcases.
Day 4, flip, and so on.
Not only does it keep his hair goop from staining, but it keeps residue from my face creams from accumulating too. Most importantly, it keeps my sleep surface free of pollen.
This works because neither of us tosses and turns and turn our pillows upside down, as the old
song goes.

When I read a magazine, I do this...
When I read a magazine, I photocopy articles that interest me and that I may want to read later or read again.
I then pass the magazine on to my cousin who is in a group home. The people there read the magazines and then cut out pictures to use in craft projects.
In addition, my aunt, who gets to see the magazine before my cousin, is able to enjoy it as well.
