What are your favorite apps on your cell phone?
Hi Maria,
I just got a new iPhone and I'm getting ready to install apps to help me be more organized and
productive. What are your favorite apps that you're currently using?

Response from Maria
Hi Veronica,
I always judge my favorite apps with two criteria: 1) Do I
use it often? and 2) Would I miss it if I didn't have it on my phone?
I have many favorite apps that, typically, a whole lot of people use daily. For instance, I use
my calendar and texting app, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Amazon and other shopping apps, travel apps, etc.
Besides the typical apps, here are seven of my personal
favorites:
1. Paperless (This is a wonderful list making app for groceries I want to buy on my next shopping trip, movies I want to see, meals for the week, restaurants,
travel lists, current list of cosmetics/brands/colors I use, and more)
2. Life360 (This app helps everyone in our family see where we are located at any given time. It
reduces worry and we consider it a safety app. I have my husband and daughter on it, as well as my dad, and sister...and her whole family.)
3. The Weather Channel (Is it
going to rain, snow, or is there a weather hazard today? This information is quick and easy to determine with this app.)
4. Apple Maps (I like Apple Maps because it
connects with the display screen in my vehicle.)
5. Countdown (This is a fun app that counts down to special occasions, like the day my daughter will be home from college
for the summer or how many days there are until my winter scrapbooking retreat.)
6. Translate (There are no longer any language barriers when you have this app. I can speak
into the phone in English, and it will translate what I said to Spanish...or other languages...and vice versa)
7. Better Sleep (This is my favorite sleep app. I'm able to
choose different sounds, like thunderstorms, rain forest, a train chugging on the tracks, etc. and combine two are more sounds as well. It helps me fall asleep quicker.)
I will tell you
that I'm very good about getting rid of apps that I think I might use, and then don't. Maybe it's not as useful as I thought it would be or it doesn't work the way I was hoping. Once a week, without fail, I delete any apps that aren't helping me be more organized, productive, and/or happy.
