Take the Guesswork Out of Calculating the Age of Documents
Hello
Maria,
May I add a tip to your reference in "Managing Storage and Decluttering Stored Items" from your June 26 newsletter?
I saw this being done by an accountant at our church.
When first storing that document / piece of paper, write on it or add a post-it note of its expiry date, e.g. Purge in April, 2030 (7 years for tax documents.) This will take the guess work out of calculating the age of those documents and the task will be done so much faster.
Have a wonderful day.

Don't Forget to Take Notes
Maria,
Great advice, in your June 22 newsletter, on when someone you love dies. I'd like to add, the most important task is to write everything down:
1. Who did you call?
2. When?
3. What's the next step? (when waiting for a call back or an action item).
We have found taking notes so important. When a loved one has died, your brain is not working normally and you may not remember what you have done or who you have told. So checking your notes is invaluable.
When my mom died, my sister paid her bills twice and I forgot to pay mine. Thank goodness we wrote everything else down.
Thanks for all your tricks and
tips!

Hi
Maria,
I love to watch hummingbirds come to my feeder. Here in Oregon we have Anna's hummingbirds year round. The feeder hangs from a shepherd's hook attached to a
fence.
Soon after I first hung it up, I discovered that ants had made their way from the fence, across the hook and into the feeder. I tried an ant moat with no
success.
Then, I put some tape around the top part of the hook with the sticky side out. I have not had any more ants in the nectar since.
