There's something truly gratifying about finding a
shortcut that saves time, a life hack that makes a daunting task a breeze, or a money-saving tip that leaves more in your pocket. It's almost like unlocking a secret door to a realm of possibilities, where even the most mundane tasks become moments of joy and satisfaction. The best part is, once you discover these little gems, they stay with you, becoming valuable tools in your daily repertoire. 1. Be sure the raspberries you're buying aren't already bad. One of my favorite summer fruit is raspberries, but I don't love buying a container, getting home, and discovering that those on the bottom are already going bad. To prevent this from happening, while holding the container and lid firmly, flip it upside down. If the raspberries don't stick to the bottom of the
container, they are likely still good! 2. See clearly out of your eyeglasses. If you wear eyeglasses, one of the best ways to ensure you can see clearly out of them is to wash them. Wet the lenses, put the tiniest dot of dishwashing liquid on each lense, spread the soap with your fingers, rinse thoroughly, and then dry with a microfiber cloth. Your view will be clean and clear! 3. Easily eat kiwi fruit, no peeling required. Kiwi fruit is so delicious. We usually get the green variety, but this week, I picked up a container of golden kiwi. Super yum! Peeling kiwi can be a bit tricky and it often ends up in sacrificing part of the fruit. You can actually eat the skin if you'd
like...it's very nutritious. Personally, I don't care for the skin. All you have to do is cut the kiwi in half, and then eat the kiwi out of each half with a grapefruit spoon. Grapefruit spoons have little "teeth" on them, which makes them ideal for eating grapefruit, melon...and kiwi! 4. Catch up on your credit cards. The higher your credit cards are, the more you're going to be paying in interest. Some people
never pay their cards down to zero and end up paying tons of money in interest. Seek out a credit card that will allow you to do a balance transfer. Most offer 12 to 20 months, interest-free. Once you do this, keep paying your balance every month...as much as you can. Try to bring that balance down to zero before your interest-free period runs out. You'll be saving a load of money. 5. Watch free TV. You may have searched on Amazon Prime for a movie, purchased or rented it, and watched on your computer or TV. But did you know, in addition to Prime Video, Amazon offers a completely free streaming service that includes thousands of popular movies, shows, and originals at no cost?! It's ad-supported, meaning you can enjoy all this content without spending a dime. If you have a smart TV, you can simply download the Freevee app. Alternatively, you can connect your laptop to your TV using an HDMI cable.
Just make sure to select the HDMI source on your TV, and you're ready to watch all the free content on a bigger screen. |
