Easier cookouts and picnics
We keep take-out condiments in a small container in
the fridge. They are then convenient to take along for cookouts and picnics. No more hauling three or four bottles to suit every taste.

Using every last bit and drop
I am always pushing the toothpaste up the tube and rolling the end and holding it with a binder clip.
When I come to the last sliver of bar soap, I wet a new bar and stick the sliver onto it.
I also found a little funnel gadget that I
can use for the near-empty bottle of dish soap, shampoo, etc. to pour into the new bottle. -- Rita Abramoski

Organized medical information
Hi Maria,
After reading the letter (your May 26 issue) from Debbie about not being able
to recall her prior medical surgeries or health issues, I wanted to share what I have done for the last 20 years.
I have a small binder that I keep all this information in. It comes with us
on every medial appointment. I know all this stuff can be tracked on a smart phone, but sometimes important information gets buried and is tough to find, especially if you’re not tech savvy.
You’d be surprised how impressed health care workers are by us having all this information on hand when they ask us questions.
The first page has a list of all our medical doctors and specialists. The next page has all the medicines and supplements that we take. Another
page has a list of all our vaccines and allergies. We have another page that lists all the surgeries that we’ve had.
I also use a spreadsheet to track all of our appointments for the
current year, and previous years. We also keep a copy of our latest lab results from our primary care doctor. We also have our Health Care Proxy paperwork in the binder as well
Every
year, I go through and make sure the information is updated and current...and file the old medical paperwork in a file.
The binder is stored in a distinctive fabric tote bag, ready to go, just in case we have an emergency.
I have to say, I really enjoy all your organizing ideas.
