Use a compartmentalized Lazy Susan for sewing
notions... pins in one, safety pins another, etc.

I use a Lazy Susan in the refrigerator. So often things get pushed to the back of the fridge, that you don't know what is there. This way you can turn it and see. The ones in the fridge are not a
double level, just single.

On the bottom of my Lazy Susan is my butter dish. On the top is a stack of glass measuring cups: 4 cup, 2 cup, and 1 cup. I used to have them in a cabinet, but I like them handy. Also on top: salt
and pepper shakers, large ones for cooking and regular ones for seasoning at the table.

Lazy Susan ideas: Use under game boards when playing Scrabble or other board games; use on the center of the dinner table to hold salt, pepper, sugar,
napkin holder, etc.

Good morning Maria,
Thank you for your article on Lazy Susans, though my energetic sister, Susan, would never allow us to call them that! We called them Lazy Matilda’s; my apologies to all the energetic Matilda’s out there.
Thanks also for introducing us to the Lazy Susans with compartments. I was not aware of these. I use the smaller, double-deckers for organizing spices inside cabinets.
The smaller double-deckers are also great for desktop organization.
The larger single-deckers organize cleaning
supplies under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Single-deckers also organize things like mixing bowls and other large items in deep cabinets.
The fact that they come in a variety of materials, wood, plastic and metal, and that they can be plain or decorative, makes them even more versatile.
These humble turntables are wonderful organizing and decorating tools. Thanks for the reminder about/introduction to them.
