Have you ever received a notification that you have to update your password for a company or
service...even if you don't want to? Well, here's a story about that.
A friend of mine received one of these notifications a month ago for a computer program she uses every single day for work...giving her 29 days to change it.
Instead of changing it immediately, she shrugged it off, thinking, "I'll get to it eventually. I have a lot of time."
As the days ticked down, the notifications kept coming...28 days, 27 days, 26 days.
She brushed off the notifications each day.
Fast forward to today – the final countdown. One day left to change the password. So, she finally decided to tackle it. And guess what? Her computer decided that today, of all days, would be the perfect time to crash. No matter what she tried, it would not come back to life. Now she couldn't
change the password even if she wanted to!
You can imagine the facepalm moment. Once her computer was repaired and back up and running, she had to spend hours on the phone with the company to get her unlocked out of this crucial program, all because she thought she had all the time in the world.
Procrastination is a universal troublemaker. Whether it's finishing work projects, adulting responsibilities, or, you know, changing passwords, putting things off until the eleventh hour can lead to unnecessary drama.
Life's unpredictable, and waiting until the last minute? Well, that's like asking for trouble.
Always remember, a little effort now almost always saves a ton of stress later. You know what they say, "A stitch in time saves nine." It will save you from falling into the pitfalls of
procrastination.
