I Started a Spreadsheet of Favorite Products
Maria,
Since you have been such a great help to me over the years, I wanted to share a tip with you and your other readers.
Have you ever found a product you really like, a particular brand of cleaner or food, and then forget what it was, or where you
got it when you want to buy another one?
Like we do with listing our favorite restaurants, I started a spreadsheet of Favorite Products. I list the name of the product, its purpose, where I found it, and extra notes.
For instance my sister-in-law must have dairy-free foods when she eats with us. So I listed the brands of “creamer” and "milk" she enjoys and where to find them.
Also, a friend cleaned and shined her old wooden floors so that they really gleamed. I quickly added the
name of her cleaner to my list and noted it was in a spray bottle.
An alternative would be to take a photo of the product and file it in a digital album of these things.
I hope this tidbit helps someone.

This Year, I Did Not Have This Important Note in My Folder...
We host Thanksgiving
"every other” year. I have a folder of notes, to remind me the things I need to know, like who will bring what, things I need to be reminded of, etc. I need these notes to create a very organized event.
This year, I did NOT have THIS ONE note in the folder that I should have had! It is there now and forever will be there. It reads:
“BE READY FOR THE GUEST(S) that WILL arrive early!”
I missed that memo this year and it RATTLED my cage when some of the relatives arrived 30 minutes early...ready to chit chat!!! It was CRUNCH time for me – as I wanted the rolls to be perfect at the “appointed time” AND I wanted all the items in the oven to be HOT,
cold items to be COLD, etc.
This will apply to ANY event where I am trying to HOST and to also be ready to RECEIVE and ENJOY my guests at the APPOINTED TIME!
I had forgotten this one very important reminder.
Thank you!

How I Wrap Gifts That are Cylinder Shaped
Whenever I have a gift that is cylinder shaped to wrap, such a blanket, I roll it in pretty tissue paper and tie a ribbon around each end. It looks like a fancy tootsie roll!
