No More Lost Socks
I’m raising two granddaughters, ages 6 and 8. I hate lost socks. I hang a small laundry bag on their shoe rack and their laundry baskets.
They know ALL socks go in these bags and we almost never have any missing now!

Choose "Core Locations" for
Your Belongings
I recently went from 4,000 email messages to 400. I am getting better!
My tip is focused on "core locations." At work, things have a core location, like papers in a filing cabinet or the stapler in the top desk drawer.
At home, everything can have a core location as well. For instance, you put the milk in
its core location...the fridge; not the washer. Your toilet paper goes to the bathroom; not the laundry room. Car keys go on hook by door, jacket on its peg etc.
Also, give yourself credit for all the things you do put away correctly and then work on one thing a
day that needs to be homed. You might be surprised regarding how much you put away compared to what still needs working on!
In addition, I have paper clutter so, daily, I look at my desk to weed out just one thing. I was shredding these reviews we received each
month on heath insurance. Suddenly I saw go paperless on one. I felt so silly. It took some work to find the web site, redo the password, etc., but now no more insurance papers clogging my mail.
I really enjoy Get Organized Now! I work full time and am turning 70...and have a farm to run. Your ideas and inspirational ezines help
me so much to achieve my goals and keep the homestead up and running!"

Friendships...More Valuable Than Silver or Gold
Regarding your December 4th issue, oh those friendships are so valuable! More precious than silver or gold! I was in a wedding almost 30 years ago. We still gather as "the Bridesmaids" all these years later! Each December we do a cookie exchange that brings us together.
It started as a full day of baking. Then, when we all had young children, it became just an evening meal together with the cookie exchange in the parking lot of the restaurant.
Now that our kids are all in college or out of college it is an overnight event with a big supper meal, cocktails, a Christmas movie before bed and baking the next day. It actually has very little to do with the baking as much as it is about those relationships. Although I do have a killer Raspberry Thumbprint recipe!
And now that all of our parents are aging (and a few have passed) it is even more important as we navigate those hard life moments/stages together.
I've been reading your newsletters like forever. Do
you have a way to see when I signed up? I bet it has been decades! I love the tips you share.
I have implemented many of your suggestions and feel like I am not only setting myself up for success, but am helping my two girls (now 25 and 29) figure out how to keep
life manageable as well."
