Organizing Mementos
Thought I'd share some advice. I've allowed myself a large clear bin of momentos for each of my 4 kids growing
up. Whenever they'd get a baby picture in an outfit, I'd put it away in their bin. Any special project, artwork, letter or card went in there.
Needless to say, once they graduated high school and went into the military, these got explosive! I attempted to purge once and just couldn't causing me anxiety, guilt and many tears. I just
wasn't ready at that time.
Years later, in my constant quest of gaining space in my small storage area in the basement, I attempted to purge them again with very little difficulty picking out my favorite outfits and projects. I'll admit, many tears were shed! I now have about three inches of space in each bin and without
guilt!
Sometimes organizing is about being in the proper headspace.

New Use for Old Bread
Hi Maria,
Allow crusty bread that is a day or two old to dry on the counter or in the oven. Then roll with a rolling pin to make breadcrumbs. They can be used for topping casserole
dishes or coating for different meats. Any kind of spices can be added too!

Respectfully Taking the Time to Rehome Items
I struggle with throwing things away and make every effort to
rehome items. I am 81 and buy very little. I will spend the next little while downsizing with the view of moving in with my daughter when I am ready to sell the house.
My husband of 59 years passed away in February. He was an avid model train collector so I am
tasked with disposing of his very large collection of British model trains. His trains meant a lot to him and we made many friends through his hobby. So I am respectfully taking the time to sell, rehome and pass items on to his friends.
I do enjoy reading your
newsletter every day. It is informative and short and sweet.
