My Laundry Sorting System
I found that, since our machines are in the lowest level of our home where our laundry shoot ends, having four tall, wheeled hampers (labeled towels, darks, lights, whites) underneath the shoot was perfect! One full hamper was exactly ONE load of wash which made it super easy to eye ball if I had to do a load
of laundry or not. Once the four kids got to be around 12 years old, they each had a hamper in their closets for them to do their own wash. Occasionally some of their clothes ended up in my hampers but it was no big deal or effort. I never had to look for clothes scattered about the house nor did we ever have stinky
closets due to funky smelling laundry.
We still have this system as empty nesters.

Being Courteous at the Doctor's
Office
I worked in a
small hometown optometrist office for years. The doctor would actually come out to get the patient. The doctors would not like when patients still had to pack up all the laptops, paperwork, books, and toys before he could bring them in for testing.
It's important
to be courteous for the doctor or nurse...as well as the patient behind you in line. Be sure whatever you're doing in the waiting room can be added to your tote bag in less than 10 seconds.
Also, the office staff had to often clean up after patients. Many would forget to take the water bottle or used up wrappers with them or throw them away. Be mindful of leaving these types of items behind and
clean up after yourself.
People also brought food (like McDonald's Happy Meals) in to appointments for kids that were headed to sports/dance, etc. practice afterwards. This often resulted in office staff having to clean up ketchup or spilled
drinks.
If you must bring in food for the kiddos, make it water and dry foods that will not spill and make a mess. If possible, keep food out of the doctor's office altogether and have them eat in the car.

Never Have to Sort Socks Again
Try Loc-a-Sok or another type of sock sorter. You will never have to sort socks again. They go in the washer and drier.
