4 Fabulous Ways to Organize Your Footwear

If you’ve ever felt like you need more shoe storage, what you might actually need is fewer shoes.
Before jumping into organizing, take a moment to declutter.

If a pair pinches your toes, slips off your heel, doesn’t make you feel good when you wear them, or no longer fits your lifestyle (like dress shoes when you live in sneakers), it’s time to let them go. Your feet—and your closet—will thank you.

Once you’ve streamlined your collection, it’s all about smart storage. Here are four simple ways to keep your shoes organized, tidy, and easy to find:.

1. The Classic Shoe Rack: A sturdy shoe rack is a must-have. I love the Birdrock Shoe Rack because it’s easy to assemble and holds up to 12 pairs of shoes. Just purchase two and you'll be able to organize 24 pairs of shoes. I keep these shoe racks in my coat coat, side by side.

2. Boot Holders for Tall Boots: Boots have a habit of slouching over and taking up more space than necessary. Enter the Boot Butler Hanging Boot Organizer. It keeps boots upright, preventing creases and saving floor space.
