Warning: These Old Jingles Will Get Stuck in Your Head!
Ever had a random commercial jingle pop into your head out of nowhere? Some of those catchy tunes from years past are practically etched into our brains forever—and honestly, there’s something kind of wonderful about that.
Who can forget classics like "Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief
it is" from Alka-Seltzer? Or the unforgettable "I’d like to buy the world a Coke" that became more than just a soda jingle—it turned into a cultural moment.
And let’s be honest, even if you haven’t had a Big Mac in years, you probably still remember
"Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese…" (you know the rest).
Jingles had a way of sticking with us, turning simple ads into singalongs that we didn’t mind getting stuck in our heads. Maybe it’s nostalgia, maybe it’s just clever marketing, but hearing an old jingle can instantly transport you back to
another time.
Can you guess these classic jingles?
1. "Give me a break, give me a break…"
2. "Like a good
neighbor…"
3. "My bologna has a first name…"
4. "I am stuck on…"
5. "The best part of waking up…"
6. "I wish I were
an…"
7. "They're magically delicious…"
8. "Meow, meow, meow, meow…"
9. "Nobody doesn’t like…"
10. "Sometimes you feel
like a nut…"
And now, here’s one of my absolute favorites...
"Peek Freans are a very serious cookie. They're made for grown-up taste. Peek Freans are much too good to waste on children. Oh, they're serious. Very serious. Peek Freans are extraordinarily serious ...cookies. If you're a
grown-up or plan to be one, you'll know what we mean. Peek Freans are a very serious cookie." Now, ready for the answers?
1. Kit Kat – "Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat
bar!"
2. State Farm – "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there."
3. Oscar Mayer – "My bologna has a first name, it’s O-S-C-A-R. My bologna has a
second name, it’s M-A-Y-E-R!"
4. Band-Aid – "I am stuck on Band-Aid brand, ‘cause Band-Aid’s stuck on me!"
5. Folgers – "The best part of waking
up is Folgers in your cup!"

Did any of these bring back memories? What’s a jingle
that’s still stuck in your head after all these years?
