Reader Question from Sabrina Beckham
Do you have a
very simple daily cleaning list, such as Monday-Bathrooms, etc.?
Response from Maria Gracia
Hi Sabrina,
Thank you for your question. A simple daily cleaning list can work wonders for keeping your home manageable without feeling overwhelming. The trick is to focus on small, consistent tasks for each day of the week. Here's a basic plan you can try:
Monday – Bathrooms: Clean sinks, wipe mirrors, scrub toilets, and refresh towels.
Tuesday – Dusting: Go room by room with a microfiber cloth, tackling shelves, furniture, and decor. Thursday – Bedrooms: Change sheets, tidy up nightstands, and declutter surfaces. Friday – Kitchen: Wipe down counters, clean the sink, and tackle the fridge by tossing expired items.
Saturday – Catch-All: Address any forgotten tasks or deep clean
one specific area (like baseboards).
Sunday – Rest and Reset: Do laundry, plan meals, and prep for the week ahead.
If you feel this list is too detailed or
rigid, feel free to simplify even more. The goal is progress, not perfection. You can also adjust tasks to suit your schedule and priorities.
What’s great about this system is that it doesn’t have to be set in stone. If Monday’s hectic, move bathrooms to Tuesday. Give yourself grace to adapt as needed.
