Car Clutter Confession
What’s
the weirdest thing you’ve ever found under your car seat? I asked a few of my friends this question, and their answers did not disappoint.
One found a petrified chicken nugget that may have dated back to preschool drop-offs. Another pulled out a rogue
flip-flop, just one, and no one has any idea where the other one went. Then there was the dried-up glue stick, a fuzzy mitten, and a tiny toy dinosaur all hanging out like they were part of a forgotten road trip gang.
One friend told me she found a $20 bill tucked under her seat...how it got there, she’ll never know, but
she wasn’t complaining. Another found a tennis ball, which was strange since she doesn’t own a dog or play tennis. Yet another friend came across a crumpled thank-you card, a Barbie shoe, and a packet of soy sauce...which sounds like the start of a very unusual story.
Someone else found an empty coffee cup from a gas station that’s been closed for years, which made her laugh and cringe at the same time.
It’s amazing what collects in the hidden corners of our cars, especially under the seats, where things go to vanish and quietly gather dust. Even if your car
feels mostly tidy, there may be something lurking down there you haven’t seen in years.
So here’s your challenge today: Do a quick reach under your car seats. What’s hiding down there? Something lost, something
funny, or something that made you say, “What in the world…?”

"Dear Maria, One great takeaway from today's newsletter (July 29th issue) is the reminder to practice self-kindness, (I love that phrase), by letting go of 'I should be able to do it all.' Many thanks for putting together your newsletter every day."-- Linda
