One Hour, Five Wins: A Power Hour for May Wrap-Up

Before May slips away, let’s do something simple but powerful: set aside just one hour to knock out five small but satisfying wins. This isn’t about overhauling your whole life—it’s about building momentum, tying up loose ends, and ending the month on a high note.

Whether you’ve been feeling super productive or you’ve been pulled in a hundred directions, this one-hour challenge gives you a chance to refocus, refresh, and feel accomplished. Ready?

Here’s your guided Power Hour—five fairly quick tasks. You can set a timer if that helps you stay on track. Feel free to mix up the order or swap in a task that better fits your goals. The goal is five completions—your five wins.

1. Cross Off a Lingering Task. We all have that one thing we’ve been moving from list to list. Whether it’s scheduling an appointment, returning an item, sending a thank-you note, or clearing out an inbox folder, use this first block to get it done. Don’t overthink it—just do it.

2. Declutter a Mini Zone. Pick one small spot: a single kitchen drawer, your purse, your car console, or a random pile of paper. Toss the trash, remove what doesn’t belong, and wipe the space clean. Instant clarity and progress in under 15 minutes.

3. Check In on a Goal. Look back at one goal you set earlier this year or this month. Ask: Did I make any progress? Is it still important to me? Do I need to update or adjust it? Jot down a few quick notes or next steps—this can help you stay aligned and motivated.

4. Prep Something for June. Lay the groundwork for a smoother start to next month. That could mean filling in a few key dates on your calendar, writing a shopping list, gathering summer gear, or planning a fun reward for finishing a bigger goal in June. This is about getting just one step ahead.

5. Reset a Space. Pick a surface or corner that’s gotten a little out of control—a coffee table, your bathroom counter, or even your desktop. Return things to their homes, wipe the surface, and maybe add a small touch of beauty (a candle, a fresh towel, or a photo you love). Now take a deep breath. Doesn’t that feel better?

Your Power Hour doesn’t have to be perfect—it just has to be yours. If you completed all five, celebrate. If you tackled two or three, that’s still progress. The goal is to feel more clear and more in control before the calendar flips.

May is almost done—but you still have time to end it well. Let this be your strong finish and your fresh start, all wrapped into one productive, purposeful hour.
