Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Movies

If you love Halloween but not the jump scares, you’re in good company. There’s a whole genre of films that capture the spirit of the season without the fright.

Think charming, cozy, and a little mischievous, rather
than terrifying. These are the movies you can watch with the lights dimmed, not off, and with a mug of cocoa instead of a blanket over your head.

Classics like Hocus Pocus (1993) deliver the perfect mix of humor and nostalgia, with witches who are more theatrical than terrifying.
The Addams Family and Casper bring quirky charm and lovable oddballs who remind us that being different is something to celebrate.
And for pure magic, you can’t go wrong with Practical
Magic. It's a story about sisterhood, love, and embracing who you are, broomsticks and all.
Or try Hotel Transylvania (one of my favorites!) for something that’ll make you laugh more than scream. These films celebrate Halloween’s playful side, costumes, pumpkins, and imagination, without the nightmare fuel.  Consider trading terror for nostalgia. Invite a few friends over, light a pumpkin-scented candle, and
revisit one of these not-too-spooky treasures.

Sometimes, a little laughter and lightheartedness are all the “magic” we need to feel the spirit of Halloween.

"Thank you for all the work you do. I am slowly getting decluttered and organized because of you. Thank you so much."
