  Fabulous Reader Tip

Organizing One's Life Comes in All Forms

Hi Maria...I have two tips:

1) I leave the window curtains open in the bedroom when I take a nap (regularly because of a health issue). That way I know I have been laying down for a nap. When the curtains are closed it means I have been sleeping for the night. I had to quit work (health reasons) 20 years ago. The pain and exhaustion had taken on every one of my brain cells. I didn't have any left to keep track of day or night. I work each day to find a way to make life work, no matter what.

2) Today I used two skirt/pants hangers attached to the bottom of my Tshirt to help it hang to complete drying. I hung these from adjoining hooks in the hallway. If you are smaller than me (I am 5 feet , 10 inches tall), one hanger may do. Yes, organizing one's life comes in all forms.

GON Reader Letter: Staying Organized and On-Track

I just wanted to say you are the only organizing email I subscribe to because you are the best. Like this...I am totally overwhelmed and then I get an email from you which resonates with me...like your recent one about using the Simplicity Strategy in your life. It put me back on track and I got back to the four things I needed to get done.

I just got promoted at work which is good (my husband is getting hearing aids at $3,000 which no insurance covers) so I need the raise and hours, but it threw my schedule out the window. The key to staying organized is doing little things every day, so it doesn't pile up.

Thanks for the tips and positive feedback. Your tips got me organized and your emails keep me on track. Thanks!

A Reader Asks, 'Help Me Get Rid of Slugs'

A GON Reader Asks

We've recently moved into a lovely, new house, but over the past week there have been slugs in the kitchen in the morning. We can't figure out where they could possibly be coming from. Do you have any ideas or any solutions to how we can stop them getting in? Thanks,

--Rachel from Manchester, England

Maria Gracia Responds

Hi Rachel,

Congratulations on moving into your beautiful, new home. May you have every blessing always.

Slugs...ugh! They're so slimy and they leave trails that are sticky as glue. They don't have bones, so they can easily slide in any small crack or crevice.

Do you, by any chance have pets? I'm asking because slugs love pet food sitting on the floor, and their sense of smell is amazing.

They also love moisture, so be sure to check pipes for leaks and excessive moisture.

The very first thing you want to do is find the 'entry points' which are generally holes or cut-outs...like those around your water/gas pipes, furnace, dryer ducts, electrical wires, pipes inside cabinets. etc. Turn the lights off in the room where you suspect they're entering, turn on a flashlight, and see if you can spot the dried trails. Hopefully you can see the trails, because you'll then be able to follow those trails to the entry point(s).

Once you locate the entry points, you can seal gaps using expanding foam for larger gaps or silicone sealant for smaller cracks...and some folks swear by using caulk, which is very inexpensive. Ask your local home store for product suggestions.

If you notice they're coming in under a doorway, you can try lining up some salt right outside the entrance. Slugs won't cross it. However, don't do this IN your house...if you do, it will cause a slimy mess.

Hope this helps a bit. Keep me posted.

Maria

Align Your Life With the Energy of Your Soul

As a loyal Get Organized Now! Reader
You Can Get a Complimentary Pass
to the Upcoming Spiritual Codes Fest

You were born with 'codes' that have influenced your life every day. Let's look at 'mental codes.' Which one of the following seven statements describes you most?

1. I use words and ideas to influence others.

2. I tend to leave it to others to come up with ideas.

3. I prefer traditional or conventional ideas.

4. I am always jumping to the newest thing or idea.

5. I organize and label everything. I like to follow procedures.

6. I can be extraordinarily focused on my own ideas or those of my idol or mentor.

7. I have an abundance of ideas.

You almost certainly found one of these to be spot on. It's part of a Code for what is happening in your life on the 'mental' level. Recognizing it and knowing what to do about it can change your life completely. So the question is...

Which Code is dominant in your life?

When you find your Mental Code, embrace it. Let it be an everyday strength. The same holds true for other levels such as the physical level and emotional level. It will then be easier to let your soul drive your life instead of everything else dragging you around. That's living a life of purpose.

For five days, during the upcoming Spiritual Codes Fest, you will explore these Spiritual Codes and the influence that they have on your life. Your access, as a loyal reader of the Get Organized Now! newsletter, is FREE.

Experience it for yourself beginning on Monday, December 4. Your first session is all ready for you to hear. To get your free pass, visit:

The secrets of the seven Spiritual Codes:

There are seven Spiritual Codes and each is known by one of the colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Each code also has a keyword or theme. The Red Code is will, as in resolution or conviction. The Orange Code is service. The Yellow Code is creativity. The Green Code stands for balance. The Blue Code is knowledge. The Indigo Code is devotion. And for the Violet Code, the main theme is magical order.

Each has a positive and expansive side, and each has a negative and contracting side. During the Spiritual Codes Fest, you will learn the impact they have on your life and how to use them to live your dreams.

You will hear stories to help you understand the impact each Code can have--the positive and the negative--and help you recognize the codes in yourself. Your host Marie Diamond will lead you in simple, yet powerful meditations to activate each code's vibration so that you can live to its potential.

The Spiritual Codes Fest begins Monday, December 4, mark your calendar today. Be ready for an eye-opening experience. Your first session is ready for you to listen to right now. Visit:

You are getting information that is not readily found in the world, you are getting instruction and mentoring through a true master of the work, and you are getting the support dedicated to helping you maximize your full potential.
