New, Different, and Fun...It All Begins TODAY!

Today is the first day of August, and I have mixed feelings about it. Yesterday, I took my daughter to her first high school student council meeting. She'll be a freshman in high school this fall! High school?! Where has the time gone? And once we start getting into back-to-school stuff, which we're deep into already, it's a bittersweet reminder that we have to really enjoy these beautiful, summer days before they are gone for the year.

Then again, August 1st is the beginning of something special...a brand new month, a fresh new page, and so many opportunities to make it wonderful and memorable.

First off, Get Organized Now! is celebrating its 21st Birthday on August 1st! Way back in 1997, who would have believed that 21 years later we would still be sharing our organizing secrets, tips, and ideas with hundreds of thousands of wonderful people like you?! Thank you so much for sharing your time with us.

To celebrate August, the second half of the year, and our 21st Birthday, I've decided to do something NEW, DIFFERENT, and FUN with my newsletters and mini editions. I'll explain what that is in a few seconds, but here is my reasoning for these improvements:

1) The Importance of Respect for Time: I've heard folks say, 'If I only had another hour or two in the day, how wonderful that would be.' I get it. Most of us have long TO DO lists. Getting everything done and having time for fun can often present a challenge. Time is so valuable, and I understand the importance of respecting my time...and YOUR TIME.

2) The Importance of Repetitive Reminders: Scientific studies have proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that when we're reminded of something over and over again, 'it sticks.' Do you remember going over the times tables repeatedly in grade school? Because of those repetitive reminders, we learned our multiplication tables back then...and they have stuck with us decades later!

In light of these reasons, here's my NEW, DIFFERENT, FUN idea that I'm implementing as of TODAY.

A) Respect for Time: The name of my newsletters and mini editions is now going to be:
GON IN FIVE MINUTES
(short for Get Organized Now in 5 Minutes)

This means, you're going to be able to read my newsletters in 5 minutes... or less! So, there will be ONE item per newsletter (a feature article, a reader tip, an 'Ask Maria' Question and Answer, a tip or idea, a video...something new each time!). In these 5 Minutes of your day, you'll discover an inspiring idea, concept, tip, or strategy about how you can get and stay better organized in many areas of your life.

Frustration - GON in Five Minutes!
Clutter - GON in Five Minutes! (At least a start)
Get an Organizing Tip - GON in Five Minutes!
Time Wasters - GON in Five Minutes!

These are just a few quick examples of what you'll discover in GON in Five Minutes.

Plus, the promotions we include (which have to be included because they're the only way I stay in business and can offer you tons of free information) will be short and sweet.

B) Repetitive Reminders: This is now going to be a daily newsletter...which means you'll get one every day. Again, keep in mind that the best way to get and stay organized and motivated is to be reminded to do so every single day...repetitive reminders. But we don't want you to get overwhelmed...that's why each issue will be a very quick read...between one and five minutes.

I'm SO EXCITED about this new path, and I hope you continue to enjoy it with me. Please keep those emails coming. Tell me about your challenges and successes. Tell me how you implemented an idea. Send a photo when you can...of you, of whatever you organized, of something organized you see when you're out and about...I love, love, love to get reader email! Plus, your story (and photos) just may end up in my newsletter, helping others around the world. What could be better than knowing you just helped make someone else's life just a little bit more organized and happy?

Have a beautiful day...and happy August. Enjoy every moment!

Maria
