I'm Sick of Not Being Organized

A GON READER ASKS...

Maria,

I'm looking to get something going ASAP. I'm sick of not being organized at my home and business. Your thoughts?

RESPONSE FROM MARIA GRACIA

Hi Sean,

I'm so glad you're excited about getting organized. Here are 3 quick and easy ideas to help you kick off your organizing quest.

1) Eliminate the 'I'll do it later' mentality. Whenever you think to yourself, 'I'll file this later' or 'I'll put this away later' or 'I'll delete this later', realize you're sabotaging your organizing efforts. Instead, be sure you're regularly saying 'I'll file this right now. I'll put this away right now. I'll delete this right now.'

2) Get rid of 10 things a day. This may sound like a lot, but trust me, most people can do this easily. Your 10 items may include a lid that doesn't fit on any of your storage containers, a shirt you never wear, a paper that's outdated in your filing cabinet, a toy your child or pet never plays with, a software manual for software you no longer own, a kitchen gadget you never use...and so on. Gather those 10 items and put them in your 'donation box.' When the box is full, donate it. Repeat every day. Bonus: If you can get rid of 10 items from your home AND your office every day, even better!

3) Give each item a home...and put it away when not in use. Every single item you own should have a home, whether that home is a closet, a shelf, a drawer, hung on the wall, etc. The only time it should be out of its home is when it's in use. When it's not in use, bring it back to its home. Hope this helps!

Maria

Move from Feeling Stuck...to Achieving Success

While counter-intuitive, the first thing you must do when you are faced with a challenge is to let go. You need to release mental and emotional attachments so you are not caught up by them.

It doesn't matter the challenge. It works on everything. Here are examples of things that will no longer stop you:

Something breaks and you don't have the time, money, or knowledge to fix it. Could be the car, a window, your computer, or a fallen tree in your yard.

There's a problem at work. You are responsible for fixing it, but you have no idea how. Or maybe you have ideas, but you don't think they will work.

Something with your health keeps getting worse, the airlines lost your luggage, the restaurant doesn't have your reservation, a traffic tie-up will make you late, a neighbor was burglarized and the culprit is on the loose, a friend has cancer, or it's raining on your way to the lake.

People who can naturally overcome challenges at will, automatically release when faced with a challenge. It neutralizes issues so you can move beyond them.

Are you ready to overcome challenges and release your Natural Brilliance? You can train your nonconscious mind to automatically move from feeling stuck...to releasing stress and achieving success...by using the audio sessions of the Natural Brilliance Mindfest free of charge.
