  TO DO This Week

TO DO This Week

___ 1. Give dogs, cats, and other animal friends some love: A few days ago, we discovered an adorable, sweet, lovable, Calico kitten on our deck (pictured above)...around 4 months old. Thinking someone may have lost her, we posted on Facebook, and other 'lost and found' pet sites. There was lots of concern, but noone claimed her. After nearly three days, she was still hanging out on our deck and obviously had no intention of leaving to find her family. She was likely abandoned.

Then, when it started to rain cats and dogs (pun intended), my heart could not take having her outside any longer, and I could not bring her in the house because we already have a pet and both my husband and daughter are both allergic to cats. We brought her to the local Humane Society. Besides a slight respiratory infection (which Humane Society folks would treat her for), she was healthy. They told us that ALL the animals there get adopted, whether it takes a week or years. We hope she's adopted soon...it's so easy to immediately fall in love with her. I know we did!

At any rate, maybe this is a good time for your family to adopt a pet. There are so many animals who are in need. If your family is ready and willing to take on a pet to care for and love, stop by your local Humane Society today.

Alternately, local Humane Society's are always in need of 'new' donations such as liquid laundry detergent, paper towels, and canned food, as well as 'gently used' donations like blankets, towels, measuring cups, litter boxes, and stainless steel pet bowls. If you're decluttering, you may have a bunch of these items laying around that could be put to good use.

___ 2. Sort through your coupons: Do you have grocery store coupons swimming in your purse, wallet, or junk drawer? Sort through them today, getting rid of any that have expired. Make a point out of using the still-active ones on your next few shopping trips.

By the way, if you never use coupons and have little to no intention of doing so, send them to 'Coupons for Troops.' Expired coupons can be used on overseas military bases for up to six months past their expiration date. Note: These should be 'manufacturer's coupons' that can be used everywhere versus coupons for specific stores...and these must be coupons cut from newspapers and not printed from the Internet. The most important coupons troops need are for food supplies. Baby supplies and common household goods are 2nd priority. Send them to:
CouponCabin.com
Attn: Expired Coupons for Troops
PO BOX 430
Whiting, IN 46394-0430

___ 3. Fill a donation box: Find an empty box (or bag) and designate it 'Donations.' Walk over to your clothes closet and fill it today (most people can do this pretty easily) and bring it to your favorite charity...or call for a pick-up if available in your area.

The 'Natural Brilliance Mindfest' begins September 18
Move from Feeling Stuck...to Achieving Success

While counter-intuitive, the first thing you must do when you are faced with a challenge is to let go. You need to release mental and emotional attachments so you are not caught up by them.

It doesn't matter the challenge. It works on everything. Here are examples of things that will no longer stop you:

Something breaks and you don't have the time, money, or knowledge to fix it. Could be the car, a window, your computer, or a fallen tree in your yard.

There's a problem at work. You are responsible for fixing it, but you have no idea how. Or maybe you have ideas, but you don't think they will work.

Something with your health keeps getting worse, the airlines lost your luggage, the restaurant doesn't have your reservation, a traffic tie-up will make you late, a neighbor was burglarized and the culprit is on the loose, a friend has cancer, or it's raining on your way to the lake.

People who can naturally overcome challenges at will, automatically release when faced with a challenge. It neutralizes issues so you can move beyond them.

Are you ready to overcome challenges and release your Natural Brilliance? You can train your nonconscious mind to automatically move from feeling stuck...to releasing stress and achieving success...by using the audio sessions of the Natural Brilliance Mindfest free of charge.
