___ 1. Hand-written thank you notes: I'm always sure to have a few packs of thank you notes on hand. When a gift is received by mail, I send a quick text or email to the person who sent it, letting them know it was received. I will then often handwrite a thank you note thanking them for the gift and telling them what I like about it or how I will use it. I try to get this in the mail within a week. This reinforces how much the present is appreciated. To encourage my daughter to do the same, she may not use the gift card or wear the shirt, etc. until she has written the thank you note. It reminds her of the importance of appreciation and gets the process moving faster with the added motivation.

___ 2. Keeping germs at bay: I always have travel-sized hand sanitizer in my purse and in my car. Before and after eating, I can use it, as well as anytime I touch public surfaces like shopping carts or gas pumps. I'm not a germophobic person, but just want to stay healthy during the winter as illnesses get passed around easier. When I come home from being out, I wash my hands with warm water and soap so germs from being out aren't left on surfaces at home. Preventing colds is often as easy as making a habit out of keeping our hands clean.

___ 3. An organized trunk: I don't like having a cantaloupe or watermelon...or even my daughter's soccer ball...rolling from side to side as I drive. A great solution is this handy organizer, which can be stored in the trunk of the car. Reusable grocery bags can be stored in it...so you don't forget to bring them along on your shopping trip...and other items needed in your vehicle can be organized neatly inside. When grocery shopping, anything that may roll around or you want to keep upright can be temporarily stored inside too until you get home.
