Maria Likes...And You May Too

____ 1. Padding my time. I am not a fan of rushing to get something done...or to get somewhere I have to be. When I'm racing around (even if I manage to get the task/project done or get to my destination on time), the end result is always going to be a stressful experience. For instance, if I waited for the last minute to complete a project, and have to cram to get it done in time, a) it's not going to be my best effort (no time for enhancements) and b) may contain mistakes because I've left no time to double-check. In another example, if I have tickets to an event or meeting, and I left so late that I'm rushing to get there, I'm going to feel frazzled when I arrive and I will have allowed zero time for any sort of preparation needed for a pleasant experience (like a restroom stop, or a quick peek through the questions I have to ask, or time to get a cup of coffee). I prefer doing something or getting where I have to be in a calm, relaxed manner that allows me breathing room...time to focus and think clearly. Because I this, I don't pack my schedule to the max, and I plan in advance...determining a) how much time whatever it is will take and b) what time I have to plan for to get it done (or get there) with no stress.

____ 2. Heated seats. We've almost reached spring and that's something I'm looking forward to. But where I live, Wisconsin winters have a habit of hanging around a little longer than I'd like. Living in this cold-weather state for years, I've been very grateful for the heated seats in my car. When I have to car shop, there are some bells-and-whistles I can do without, but heated seats is one feature that I would not forego.

____ 3. 16-pocket hanging closet organizers. It can be frustrating to find a matching sock in a messy sock drawer. One option is a drawer organizer that keeps all socks sorted nicely. Another option (and I prefer this option because it frees up drawer space) is an organizer that hangs in your closet so you can see all the pairs at once and choose what you'd like quickly and easily. Here's a wonderful one for this purpose...it has pockets on both sides:
