____ 1. Unusual plants and flowers. This past weekend, I visited the
Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory, also know by Wisconsinites as 'The
Domes.' Visit and you'll find three beehive-shaped glass domes that span 140
feet in diameter and are 85 feet high, each one with its own theme: The Arid
Dome (where we walked among cacti, aloe, and other plants native to the desert),
The Tropical Dome (where we viewed many fruit-bearing plants like banana,
papaya, guava, avocado, and cacao), and finally The Show Dome (which changes
each season). This season, the Show Dome featured an extensive garden railway
display put on with the cooperation of many Wisconsin Model Railroad club
members. If you ever find yourself in Wisconsin, pay 'The Domes' a visit. It's a
beautiful environment that invites you to slow down, meander, and learn about
plants in a fun way. Alternately, why not visit your own botanical garden or
horticultural center. There's likely one within driving distance of where you
live and it's a great way to enjoy and de-stress.
____ 2. Scissors in my purse. I carry a pair of child-size scissors in my
purse. When I was out the other day, I used them to cut a scratchy tag off of
the shirt I was wearing. I've used them to cut off those paper wristbands they
give you these days at events, I've cut off loose threads on many occasions, and
even used them to cut coupons in the checkout line.
____ 3. A trash receptacle in the car. I don't like seeing any kind of
trash in the car...even trash that was just generated. It's very easy to
'temporarily' place a used tissue, empty fast food bag, or paper coffee cup in
the side door pocket...or stuff it into the cup holder...and not always easy to
remember to take it out. After a few days of this, the car begins to look messy
and time has to be spent gathering trash from all of these 'storage areas.' This
is especially true if you have young kids. That's why I like having a trash
receptacle in the car. This particular one solves the trash problem easily. It's
large, has a magnetic lid, and holds regular plastic grocery bags as liners.
Whenever I stop to get fuel, I empty out the trash right at the gas station.
Most of the time, as long as nothing sticky spilled inside, I can reuse the
plastic grocery bag that's lining it. For details, visit:

Apple vs. Pear
Do This for a Tighter Tummy
and Slimmer Thighs
Is it really possible to re-shape a woman's body at any age? And WITHOUT
starving yourself to cut calories? Or killing yourself in the gym to burn more?
Fortunately, yes. And it involves hormones. Hormones can send calories to your
hips, butt and thighs - the PEAR shape. Or to your tummy - the APPLE shape. Or
to BOTH areas - the bloated SODA CAN shape.
However, a healthier, more comfortable hourglass shape is possible with the
RIGHT mix of hormones. Just try doing this. Visit:
