What's the Best Way to Organize Plastic Storage Containers?
A GON Reader Asks:
Hi Maria,
What is the best way to organize plastic ware, tops and botttoms, square and
round. I desperately need help.

Maria Gracia responds:
Hi Karen,
Thanks for asking! First and foremost, only keep plastic ware that you actually
use. So many people have a surplus of plastic ware for an army. So, step one
is to weed out, especially any containers that no longer have a matching lid.
Second, what I do is nest my plastic ware containers...small inside medium,
medium inside large, etc. You'll have to make three nested stacks...square,
rectangle, and circle. Nesting these saves a ton of cabinet space.
Then, I use three gallon-size, Ziploc baggies to hold the lids, one for square,
another for rectangle, and a third for circle...each bag organized smallest lid
to largest lid. These are kept in the same cabinet as the containers. When I
need a matching lid, I know exactly where to look.
Hope this helps!
