I use stand up magazine holders to contain my lids. The ones I found were double width so they are great for holding a stack of lids. The higher front is great for preventing them from all falling out. You can see the set up in the photos I sent (above).

I keep the square/rectangular lids in one and the round ones in the other. It's an easy enough set up that my husband will put things where they belong. In my house, I cannot make our organizing systems complicated because if I do, that system won't get used.

I start shopping for Christmas in the summer and hide gifts when I buy them. My solution is to make a check-off list for each person. The first column is an idea for the person, the second is if I bought the item, the third is when I wrap the gift, and the fourth is the hiding place. This is how I know exactly what is done and needs to be done.
