This brings such peace of mind

Maria,

In response to your recent Today is a Good Day for a Good Day newsletter issue:

A friend of mine said often that any day 'on top of the heap' was a good day. She meant that she was alive to appreciate the day and not buried with no thoughts at all. Her faith gave her peace. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Isaiah 48:18)

She and I shared that on some days, the 'heap' was a garbage dump and others a lovely space of fresh air and green grass. Still, wherever she was, she made it a rule to appreciate what life meant to her. Memories, beautiful scents, scenery, or the amazement of a tiny insect, made so perfect for its place in the spectrum, anything that made her laugh a little inside, that was pure beauty to her.

Growing up, my favorite movie was Pollyanna. No matter what her day presented in tasks, she found something to be glad about. I have followed that with great success for generations. The peace of mind it brings is truly a gift. (Romans 24:19; Philippians 4:6, 7)

I enjoy your tips and appreciate your thoughtfulness and time in helping so many busy lives.

This is a game changer for me

Maria,

In response to your recent Maria Likes newsletter issue:

A sleep mask is a game changer for us too! My husband likes to read about 15 min before going to sleep. It used to be that I either had to make sure I was asleep before he came to bed (because having his light on made it difficult for me to sleep), stay up later, or go to bed at the same time...at which point I tossed, turned and grumbled for 15 min. Now we can go to bed at the same time. I wear the sleep mask and he can read as long as he wants in peace.
