How would I start an indoor garden with limited space?
A GON Reader Asks
Maria,
I am now living in a condo and am not allowed to plant anything outside.
How would I start an indoor garden with limited space for vegetables and herbs?
This Reader Question was submitted by:
--Beth Morgan
Maria Gracia responds...
Beth,
I'm glad you asked. The key for growing indoor herbs and vegetables is not
necessarily the space you have, but rather having the light they require to
thrive. So if you don't have the natural light needed, you may need some grow
lights. Once you know you have sufficient lighting for whatever you want to
plant, you can use windowsill space, a plant stand, shelving systems, tables,
and a plethora of other 'homes' for your indoor garden.
I recommend you grow herbs and vegetables you would typically grow when doing
container gardening...such as cherry tomatoes and small snack peppers...as
opposed to large varieties that you'd typically plant in the ground. You don't
want your indoor garden taking over your home, and some plants can get truly
unrulely.
Because your question requires a whole bunch of detail, I located these helpful
articles online. Hope they give you some ideas you can use:

How do I find a scrapbooking retreat?
A GON Reader Asks
Maria,
How do I find a scrapbooking retreat in my area?
This Reader Question was submitted by:
--P. Roberts
Maria Gracia responds...
I love, love, love scrapbooking retreats. I attend one every year, and am
looking forward to this year's event in December.
Some scrapbooking retreat groups will happily allow you to join them (many are
looking for additional people to attend because the more people that go often
means the less money each individual person will have to pay.) To find these
groups, post a message on Facebook indicating you're looking for a scrapbooking
or crafting group that attends retreats...you just may find the group you're
looking for. You can also check with your local library.
That all being said, typically you would get a bunch of friends together and
make arrangements to stay at a retreat house with those friends.
My group has stayed at many retreat houses. What we always do is conduct a
simple Google search, using the keywords 'scrapbooking retreat house' or
'crafting retreat house' AND a zip code of the area(s) we're interested in
staying. You'll probably have luck simply doing that.
Our retreat house decisions are always based on a number of criteria, such as
how many people the house will hold, the size of the scrapbooking/crafting room,
the location (we don't like to be more than a few hours away), the available
dates, whether or not the house has WIFI, the price, and any 'customer reviews'
found on Facebook as well.
