In response to your July 2 issue entitled, 'Walking Aroung Barefoot'...

Ronda's tip about not going barefoot, when performing household tasks, is a really valid one! I had a similar experience while unloading the dishwasher. A tempered glass tumbler fell over in the dishwasher rack and shattered...actually, it more like exploded!

I was barefoot with no clear path to go anywhere. Thankfully, my husband was home and was able to get a pair of shoes for me. It's really a good idea to assess the risks and make sure you have the proper equipment before starting any chore.

In response to your June 16 Maria Likes issue, in which you wrote about packing lists...

I've packed many times in my 69 1/2 years. I'm a visual person. Your list frees up the 'must remember' space in my sometimes overloaded brain. May I suggest you add a small sewing kit to your list? We always seem to need one. Thank you!
