  TO DO This Week

TO DO This Week

____ 1. Pay a visit to your local library. My teenage daughter asked me if I could drive her to the library the other day to pick up a book she wanted to read for one of her classes in school. I said, yes, of course. Then it occurred to me how long it had been since we last visited the library. I read most of my books on my Kindle...and she gets most of her books from her Kindle or the school library...so it has been quite some time...probably six months, maybe even a year, since our last visit. We went and, after she found her book, we both browsed around for awhile. I picked up a few other books for me, and we also picked up an events calendar as there were some presentations we'd like to attend. I was really glad she asked to pay the library a visit. If you haven't made use of your public library lately, why not set a date this week to stop by, pick up a book or two, and find out what's happening. There may be something there that sparks your interest.

____ 2. Inventory and organize your baking supplies. Now that the weather has cooled off, I suddenly have the urge to bake again. Now is a great time to inventory and organize your baking supplies. Try to keep all baking gear contained so its easy to find when needed. I keep all baking pans in the drawer under my oven, smaller items (cookie cutters, pastry tools, etc.) in one cabinet in my kitchen, and baking ingredients on the middle two shelves in my pantry. I just realized that, last year, I dropped my rolling pin and it broke. So, I just purchased this one on Amazon and can't wait to use it:

____ 3. Clean windows, inside and out. The trees are beginning to morph into gorgeous bouquets of red, yellow, and orange leaves...and I would like to enjoy them as much as possible. As I was looking out the living room window today, I noticed the windows need to be cleaned. This week, we'll be cleaning ours inside and out...a few a day until they're done. You may wish to add this project to your task list as well. If this job is too taxing, or you don't have the time AND do have the budget, consider hiring a local window washing company in your area.
