Cleaning Hair Off Bathroom Surfaces
A GON Reader Asks
Hi Maria,
I have a bathroom cleaning question...I am always frustrated by the hair! It is
so difficult to remove it from the surface of the sink, tub, or toilet. After I
spray cleaner on (and let it set), wiping never seems to completely remove the
hair, it just moves them around. I change rags frequently but other than rinsing
them down the drain, they just seem to be spread around!
Between the cats, dog, my daughters, and my husband, there is an abundance of
shedding hair. There has to be some trick that I have missed out on all these
years! Thanks for your help and love the newsletter!

Maria Gracia responds...
Hi Gwen,
I have very thick hair...a teenage daughter who is forever brushing her hair, a
husband...and a white rabbit that sheds at least three times in a year...for
months at a time. I feel your pain.
First, do what you can so that your bathroom isn't constantly wet or humid. Run
a dehumidifier, open the window and let in fresh air when possible, put on the
fans when someone is showering...and after for a bit. The less wet the bathroom
is, the easier it will be to pick up the hair. If you do this, the hair should
be easily picked up with a vacuum attachment BEFORE you use spray cleaner. If
you do vacuum the bathroom often enough, the hair won't have a chance to build.
Use the crevice-tool attachment to get in tight spaces.
If the bathroom is dry, you can also use a static dust mop, which works well.
Keep pets out of bathrooms. It's just easier that way.
A sticky roller will pick up hair easily.
Rubber 'brushes' (the types you buy in pet stores) work really well too.)
Finally, don't forget about hair-catchers for shower drains to help prevent
clogging.
Hope this helps make the situation less hairy!

If You Think (or You Know)
That Your Marriage is in Trouble
Get Your Hands on a Copy of the
Save the Marriage System
Your Continued Marriage May Depend On It

To fast forward to start saving your marriage, visit:
www.getorganizednow.com/rd-savemarriage.html
Each year, in America alone, nearly one million marriages end in divorce. If
your marriage is in trouble and you do nothing, it's only going to get worse. So
many folks believe that if they just get to the root of these challenges, or
give them time, these problems will resolve on their own. Sadly, that simply
does not happen.
On the other hand, if you do something, (if you take action) there's a much
better chance that your marriage will be saved.
This is where the Save the Marriage System resource comes in. It is the
best-selling resource on the Internet for saving marriages...even if you're the
only one in the relationship that wants to save it.
You'll learn so much, such as...
* The Top 5 Mistakes people make when a crisis arises
* How to assess the stage of your crisis (there are 8)
* What to do, what to say, and what to avoid in order to save your marriage
* Why 'hard work' on the relationship isn't always the answer
* How marriage counseling can be dangerous to your marriage's future
* Why arguing is a waste of time - and the amazingly simple secret to get around
it
* How to become a team, even if you feel like opposites
* Why power is so destructive to relationships and how to change it
* How to deal with problems involving sex or money
* Why anger and resentment are so dangerous, and what to do about it, regardless
of whether you or your spouse is angry or resentful
* How to begin saving your marriage beginning in less than an hour, maybe in
less than 10 minutes In short, how to have the marriage of your dreams.
* and so much more.
