____ 1. Plenty of fuel in the car before getting on the road. It's not fun to be in a rush in the morning, just to realize you're running even more behind because the gas tank is empty and now you have to stop to fuel up. Always check the gas tank at the end of the day (like on your way home from work) and fill the tank if needed. Filling when there's a half tank left will help ensure you're never running super low on fuel.

____ 2. Keeping a few 'helper items' in my purse. Over the years, I've come up with a list of 'helper items' I always keep in my purse, in addition to my wallet, phone, and other typical items. They are: band-aids, a nail file, a pen (always in a Ziploc baggie in case it leaks), a small mirror, and address labels with my address (helpful if I have to add my name to a mailing list). ____ 3. Un-paper towels. Paper towels can get very expensive and can't be reused. That's why I love these 'paperless' towels that can be used over, and over...and over again. They're 2-ply, absorbent, durable, and wash perfectly clean in the washer/dryer.
