Putting Your Heart into Gift Giving
The other day, my good friend Jane gave me an unexpected gift that was so
thoughtful. First off, she knows I love visiting Door County, Wisconsin. She
also knows, when I do get the opportunity to go, I enjoy their many
cherry-related foods. I've had some of the best slices of cherry pie in my life
in Door County.
Her gift to me was a mixing bowl with a cherry design on the outside. Inside the
bowl was a packet of dried cherries, a jar of cherry salsa, a box of cherry tea,
a package of chocolate cherries, and a dish towel with a cherry design on
it...all straight from Door County. She had recently visited and was certain
this gift would make me smile She was right.
Themed-gifts are wonderful when you're trying to think up something creative and
personal. This holiday season, perhaps you'll be interested in making up a theme
gift for someone, for instance a movie theme for someone who loves movies (movie
tickets, pop corn, movie theater candy), or a spa theme (bubble bath, a loofah,
a scented candle) for someone who can use a little extra loving care this year.
Fresh baked cookies, fragrant moisturizing soaps, fresh flowers, local theater
tickets, or a handful of lotto tickets all make wonderful clutter-free gifts.
Do you know someone that could really use a day out? Take them out to lunch or
dinner, or gift them a certificate for a manicure.
Do you have an elderly neighbor or relative who has a hard time getting around?
Bring them a holiday dinner one evening. Maybe even stick around and enjoy the
dinner you brought, along with conversation, together. Alternately, give someone
a gift certificate for a house cleaning service or snow blowing service...this
is great for someone recovering from surgery.
Also, consider helping those in need, by volunteering in a soup kitchen,
donating food to a food bank, helping a friend who doesn't drive by running an
errand for her, visiting residents in a nursing home, or simply paying for a
bridge toll or cup of coffee for the person in line behind you.
There are so many ways you can help others. By putting your heart into gift
giving, you can help make someone's holiday season truly special and memorable!

Learn What Your Cat is Trying To Tell You With...
The Cat Language Bible
In it you'll learn how to finally understand
and speak with your cat

To fast forward to The Cat Language Bible, visit:

Yes, meow means something
What does it mean, you ask?
Good question. It's about the same as aloha in Hawaiian.
The meaning changes.
Context matters hugely. Is it a mean meow, or a friendly one?
What about the cat's body action? Is he facing towards you, or away? Is the tail
curled, or lying flat against the floor?
Depending on these points, 'meow' could mean 'let's watch a movie together' or
'boy am I thirsty right now.'
So getting the tone and body language right is critical.
Finally, there's a quick guide on the essentials of cat communication to open
your ears (and your heart) into the fascinating world of feline communication,
both verbal and nonverbal.
This guide, written by a PhD animal communications expert Dr Jonas Jurgella, is
the missing link that allows you to bond with your own feline friend as if he
was a human child.
That's the power of true and honest communication, vs the primitive 'animal baby
talk' that so many pet owners unfortunately relegate themselves to.
