How I Reuse Bread Tabs to Stay Organized

Hi Maria,

I keep a few of the tabs used to secure the covering on loaves of bread I buy from the supermarket. These tabs are great for labeling computer and printer cords. Just write on the tab with a permanent marker (computer tower, printer, scanner, etc.) and slide the tab onto the cord. Trust me, it makes life easy when you are having an issue with one of your pieces of computer equipment and you don't have to waste time and get stressed trying to figure out which cord belongs to what in that tangled mess of cords. Bread tabs are also great for keeping wired earbuds from tangling. I wind up the wires and secure them with a bread tab. It holds them secure without them unraveling.

If It Doesn't Fit, I Don't Buy It

Hi Maria,

I love your newsletter! Because I read it, I'm mindful about not having an abundance of makeup and face-care products. Yesterday, I bought a small, plastic, pink basket at The Dollar Store. My rule is, if it doesn't fit in the basket comfortably (no overflowing), I don't buy it. I still have a nice assortment to choose from every day, it's contained and organized in one place, and it saves me money too because I don't run out and buy more of something (or something else) until what I have is used up!
