Finding a Sense of Normalcy
Maria,
Thank you for continuing to send your newsletter out. It has given me a sense of
normalcy in this time of global uncertainty. Something I'm trying to do to keep
things as normal as possible is keep myself and my kids on a schedule.
As you know, all the kids are home from school. My kids are pre-teens. Knowing
it would be a bit of a battle to get them to do school work four hours straight,
I've set up four school times (30 minutes each), and four play times (30 minutes
each...they rotate school, play, school, play, etc.
When the kids are handling their school work (all online), I'm getting things
done around the house, checking in on them now and then to be sure they're still
working. When the kids are playing, I take some time to interact with them, as
well as do some fun things on my own. So far, so good.
My thoughts and prayers to everyone who is being severely affected by this
terrible virus.

List of Potential Things I Can Do
Hi Maria,
I have followed your fabulous web site and newsletter for a long time and always
find something which helps me to get organized. With all the news about the
coronavirus, I made a list of potential things I can do, should I have to
isolate myself at home. I have also obtained a few more hobby materials and
books ready to occupy myself. I haven't any children so this list is purely for
me!
1. Buy a new address book and update contacts and telephone numbers
2. Upload contacts and addresses to my computer
3. Complete birthday dates for the year month by month
4. Print off address labels and file in plastic pockets
5. Double check my Christmas card and present list for 2020
6. Sort and weed out my handbag stash
7. Tackle my wardrobe and bag up stuff for charity, items that I really don't
like or that don't fit properly
8. Review my lingerie drawer - enough said
9. Read those magazines / books that are always hanging about
10. Sit down and actually do some crochet work
11. Enjoy a nice glass of wine
12. Catch up on all those DVRd programs I have recorded, but not watched yet!
Best wishes,
