I am surprised I've never heard of anyone else trying this. (But, maybe they have.) I tried it recently and I say it works 100%.

Simply take ONE empty paper towel roll (or TWO toilet paper rolls) and make one cut lengthwise along the entire cardboard tube (or tubes.) Take it to the grocery store with you, and either one long tube (or two short ones) will cover the handle on the shopping cart sufficiently to minimize transferring germs. Remember to toss it when you are finished with the cart. I enjoy your emails.
